Yoga Director Yoga InstructorBiography
Kate completed her 200+ hour teacher training with MAKA Movement based Ashtanga Vinyasa yoga and has been a registered teacher with Yoga Alliance for more than a decade. She has taught at gyms in the Baltimore metro area, created the popular ‘Yoga at the Zoo’ series at the Maryland Zoo in Baltimore, and has trained countless private clients across the region. When teaching Yoga to athletes, Kate focuses on areas integral to their respective sport. Kate developed and instructed the first ever baseball-centric yoga in 2017. Since then, she has continued to advocate for yoga as a part of every athlete’s training and has worked with Pease Baseball Professionals to reinforce yoga as a key component to physical and mental health and higher athletic achievement.
Kate has shown tremendous diligence in designing our complete Yoga program for Baseball that we are unveiling in 2024. Working closely with myself to develop a custom course plan for baseball players around specific movement / postures, ground forces, trunk rotation, in accordance with different positions on the field and in the batters box. We have spent ample time on the design of this program to better assist specifically, the development of baseball / softball players. Our baseball community will be given every opportunity to improve their mental clarity, breath, and focus while improving overall physical performance on the field while reducing the risk of injury. Baseball and softball players alike would benefit tremendously from this program and we look forward to getting it ramped up this year!
